Changes for Sonic Youth

Everyone's talking about the Thurston/Kim split, which the media recently announced. Anytime a marriage ends, it is not a time to celebrate. If I feel bad for anyone, it is their daughter, Coco, who I am sure will be getting questioned a lot about her parents' marriage. Hopefully they will be able to talk things out and continue making music.

I'm just really blessed to have seen R.E.M. in concert before they broke up. Truly some of the best stuff America has to offer. I don't even care how much people disliked Reveal. That album did a lot for me.

I have to give my brother, Mike, credit for liking R.E.M.'s Monster before I gave it a chance. Now, I see it is as essential a part of R.E.M.'s discography as any of their albums. I think that was around the time that I beat him up for making fun of my love of Beck Hansen.
