I wondered for a while how to pronounce this artist's name. Their newest album is quite excellent.

I enjoyed seeing Chvrches (that is actually how they spell it!) for free in Philadelphia this past weekend. All the electronics sounded totally elaborate and awesome in real life, so it was quite a satisfying way to spend an afternoon. Not to mention U.S. Olympic snow boarder Shaun White showed up.
Wow apparently there were houses getting peed on and underage kids having public sex in front of young children. I totally missed that part, but I guess Chvrches kind of make me want to have sex too, but not in public. I wouldn't blame the bands for inducing underage drinking or encouraging young people to get drunk and pee on people's houses (especially Chvrches!). Everyone is always looking for someone to blame.

6 things I really love about Questlove
Current reading: Autobiography of Questlove.
1. In his head, he writes the Rolling Stone reviews to his albums before they come out, and in general, he loves reading reviews.
2. He claims to have had a goth friend in the first grade.
3. He identifies as a nerd.
4. He had to listen to Prince in secret when he was growing up because his parents kept throwing out the albums.
5. He, like myself, once worked in life insurance sales.
6. He likes the band Grizzly Bear.

I found a new Coffee House to hang out at in East Windsor yesterday, and talked to this guy named Fred Stein, who gave me all of his CD's for free, and I told him I would blog about him in some shape or form. This guy is a good fellow, and it was a pleasure to chat with him.

I've been hanging out with a group of Mormon missionaries who are really nice and not anti-intellectual. They gave me a copy of the Book of Mormon for free. So now I'm a Jewish guy who has the Book of Mormon in my desk drawer. Nothing wrong or confusing about that!
