I made the trek by train and foot to see Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds last night.  I've spent time in recent years immersing myself in his very large body of music, so I am happy that I got to witness this tour.

Good xpn review

 

Just got back from seeing one of my favorite bands ever, the Magnetic Fields live at the Keswick Theater in Glenside.  In a world full of absolute crap, the Magnetic Fields put the true artistry in music.  They're on tour playing the album 69 Love Songs in full over two nights.  I could only make it to the first night, but I am grateful I got to experience the amazing Stephen Merritt and company for one of the two shows.

I found a very good metaphor for my life in general. It is as if I am a basketball player, and everyone is shouting what I should do.  Shoot the ball.  Pass the ball.  Dribble the ball.  I don't know who to listen to, who to trust, whether my own intuition is worth anything.
